Drunk in Love on Blanc de Blanc

Oh. My. Gosh.

That’s all we could muster to say as we left The Garden of Unearthly Delights, clutching our empty wine glasses and grinning from ear to ear.

Blanc de Blanc is one of those shows that takes every expectation you have for a Fringe show, screws it into a ball, kicks it out the window and shows you a whole new level of glitter, glamour and grandeur you never thought possible.

From the trademark opening act featuring a bottle of blanc de blanc (of course) to the final roaring party scene, we see comedy, contortion, acrobatics, singing, dancing and more, with the cast losing more and more clothing as the show travels on.

The best way to describe Blanc de Blanc is if you took a show from the red light district in Amsterdam and a cabaret from Montmartre in Paris and combined them, you would end up with this spectacular show.

While the show was hilarious, seductive and engaging, it also managed to be painfully beautiful, with a romantic aerial acrobatics acts between two extremely talented performers.

Everything about the production was outstanding, from the two-story French-theme set, the dazzling costumes, the theatrical make-up, and the expressive gestures from the cast tied together what was already a seamless, utterly phenomenal show.

Take your girlfriend, boyfriend, best friend or co-worker, just make sure you buy tickets to Blanc de Blanc before it sells out this Fringe season.
