The annual Adelaide Fashion Festival is fast approaching, and what better way to get excited than with a sneak preview of the fine food and drinks that will be on offer at the Vogue Festival Wrap Party.
Presented by East End Social, the Wrap Party will be the place to be seen and enjoy a whole range of activities, from runways and music to food and wine.
Earlier this week, The Adelaidian got a little peak into what we can expect from the exciting, fashion-inspired menu designed by Mothervine head chef, Adrian Bernadi.
The food will showcase only the freshest spring produce from South Australia, and is accompanied by East End Cellars’ impressive alcoholic beverages, with everything incorporating a ‘pop of pink’ to compliment the fashion inspirations.
SA treats like goats curd cheese from Woodside Cheese Wrights on Barossa Valley Carême Puff Pastry with earthy heirloom beetroot were a winner with us. The Korean-style pulled beef cheek in crispy wonton cups sheathed with pickled ginger were another moorish bite that had us going back for seconds.
A divine risotto by Frank Hannon Tan of Amalfi Ristorante – a signature dish that goes beyond the East End – was full of greens and had just a hint of cheese, the perfect vegetarian dish.
At the bar we were presented with a difficult choice: do we go for the Aperol Spritz made with Adelaide Hills Distillery’s ‘The Italian Bitter Orange’, Alpha Box & Dice ‘Zaptung’ Prosecco and a dose of soda water, or an Adelaide Hills gin and tonic featuring 78 degrees small batch gin mixed with rose vermouth, garnished with blood orange? ¿Por qué no los dos?
Behind-the-scenes, we snuck in with Media Makeup, Clipjoint and Pride where we saw the models getting ready to promote the marvellous menu with plenty of pops of pink in their makeup and clothing.
The three models offered a sneak peak into the simple hairstyles and colourful eyes we’ll be seeing everywhere this spring. These looks will also be presented at the Vogue Festival Wrap Party, with the models decked out in fun dresses and playsuits that will be perfect for the coming warmth of spring and summer.
The Vogue Festival Wrap Party will be held on Saturday afternoon, 14th October down Vardon Avenue. Click here to secure tickets.
