Spring racing season has started (though it doesn’t really feel like Spring yet), which means it’s time to start planning race day outfits!
While over at Melbourne Fashion Week, we were invited to a private showing of D.E. Millinery‘s new season collection, as well as sneak preview of two new Revoque SS17 designs.
Held at Edward Meller on Collins St, a diverse selection of headpieces were displayed throughout the store, among gorgeous statement shoes from brands like Stuart Weitzman.
Whether you’re a fan of the classic boater, or prefer something a little more modern, D.E. Millinery’s collection spans a range of styles and tastes. One of our favourites was the Partridge Bird Single Alice Band, which featured a bird flying out of flowers, completely made out of black acrylic. Another standout was the Dark Beauty Crown, a headband with protruding gold and black spikes which form a crown. Very Disney villain aesthetic.
Each piece is totally customisable to the customer’s needs, whether it be size, a change of material or adding/ taking away a feature.
Two of Revoque’s new season dresses were on display, paired with D.E. Millinery headpieces which created the perfect raceday outfit. The full collection will be debuted later this year, with designer Danica Ryan hinting that it’ll be sleeker and sexier than her previous releases.
