Guys, winter is no longer coming – in fact, it’s at an end!
This weekend marks the beginning of spring and, along with it, Barossa Gourmet Weekend is set to commence with over 40 events and a whole lot of wine-filled fun. But with so many events and loads of locations/venues involved, where do you look to first?! Well, we already know where we’re going.
The prestigious Henschke Wines have teamed up with Hutton Vale this year to present Spring Fling: a day of fabulous food, fine wine and live music curated by The Porch Sessions. The luscious rolling hills of Eden Valley, Barossa, will provide the ultimate scenic setting for the event, so you can expect to have plenty of aesthetic Insta content for the day!
At just $75 a ticket, guests will be treated to beautiful day in the sunshine including roaming canapes, lunch, sweet treats and, of course, cheese. A complimentary first glass of wine will see the day kick off right.
Bus transport packages will be available via 2KW Bar and Restaurant and The Highway. Both packages are looking seriously enticing with all the perks plus transport to and from the event, both at $110 a ticket.
Wholesome food grown on the surrounding paddocks will be served up for lunch, featuring sustainably farmed Hutton Vale Farm lamb, fresh garden greens, organic grains and spring root vegetables all cooked on the open coals. Drinkables on offer will include everything from zesty rieslings, juicy grenaches and bold shiraz from both Henschke and Hutton Vale Farm. Ooh, and for the beer-drinkers, craft beer by Slo Brew will be floating around.
Ryan Martin John will be bringing the alt-folk tunes into play, setting the scene through song alongside the likes of old soul melodies by Alana Jagt and joyful acoustic by Cosmo Thundercat.
And if you haven’t yet checked the forecast for the week/weekend, the days are looking rain-free (finally) and reaching a pleasant 19°C, so it would almost be a crime not to take advantage of the good weather! What better way to do so than at Spring Fling.
