Handpicked Festival returned to Lake Breeze Winery in early November, and The Adelaidian went along to enjoy a beautiful day of sunshine, wine and music. Punters travelled from all over Australia to catch the musical lineup, which included headliners Birds of Tokyo, Conrad Sewell and Dan Sultan, as well as local bands like Timberwolf and Germein Sisters.
The festival boasted a unique Market Lane, where people could buy super cute handmade knick-knacks, like potted plants and flower crowns. Adelaide Photobooths were located down Market Lane, donating all money made during Handpicked Festival to Beyond Blue. A large array of food trucks were also present, serving delicious and cheap food all day.
Among the grape vines and dream catchers we spotted a whole lot of funky festival threads, so we took a couple of snaps to help all you festival goers start planning your outfits for the 2015/16 festival season.
There was plenty of loose, flowing clothing around to keep festival goers cool when hanging out in the sun all day. White is going to be the colour of summer this season, so it’s no surprise many girls were decked out in white tops and dresses. For the guys, patterned tops with dark pants was the favoured outfit of the day.
