With a name as epic as a Burganomix, we held our hopes high for this one.
Last night, The Adelaidian had the opportunity to sample some of the delicious burgers at newly launched Burganomix on Moseley Square down in Glenelg. There is no doubt Adelaide adores its burgers, and the newest addition to our ever-growing burger scene is proving some of the best beachside burgers in Adelaide (yes, burger scene is a thing).
Currently offering a range of beef, chicken, pork, steak, veggie and seafood burgers at reasonable prices (nothing over $20), as well as a few different salads and sides, Burganomix really does cater to everyone. Each burger can be modified to suit dietary needs, including the choice of a gluten free bread bun and, of course, vegetarian/vegan options.
Another fun addition to the Burganomix menu is the ‘Buggsy’ burger option, offering patrons on a strict diet (or who just feel like something lighter) a burger without the bun and, instead, wrapped in lettuce as a bread substitute.
For those of you who just can’t justify sacrificing the bread, customise your burger with brioche, sesame seed, multigrain or a GF bun. Additions come at just a dollar each and include the likes of beetroot, pineapple, cheese, avocado, pickles, Spanish onion, Swiss mushrooms, chutney, pancetta, egg or caramelised onion. The combinations are practically endless!
In attempt to tackle burgers with lots of filling such as ‘The Lot’, be prepared to get a little messy. Trying to look classy with a knife and fork only ends in tears, so the only way to get through your masterpiece is to use both hands and a whole lot of napkins. If you’re on a date, you will probably want to avoid adding too many extras.
And with portions as generous as these, you don’t want to go to crazy with the sides or entrees! Perhaps try some Nomix Chicken Wings to start; they’re sweet, flavoursome and surprisingly easy to pick at.
The Burganomix menu is so large, we had to take two photos just to fit it all in. So have a suss at the menu below and be sure to check it out next time you are down at the jetty!
