The endless delights of the constantly evolving suburb of Prospect were showcased on Wednesday night at the launch of the Explore Prospect Food and Art Trail.
The trail has been designed to showcase and highlight the extensive local art and eateries throughout the vibrant suburb of Prospect; the idea coming from local Prospect resident and Adelaide chef, Rosa Matto.
“A civilised community needs to acknowledge its artists and its providores; they nourish our minds, our spirits and our bodies,” says Rosa.
The launch exhibited a huge range of dishes on display from local eateries on the trail for us to photograph, some of which looked absolutely too good to eat.
Luckily Café Komodo and Momiji Sushi had catered the event, followed by delectable desserts from Muratti Cakes and Gateaux, ensuring everyone was too full to start on the displays.
The little trail info booklets are available from local traders in the Prospect area, and show a detailed map of the best restaurants, cafes, pubs, bakeries, and coffee shops, as well as hidden gems from local artists.
If you’re travelling by foot, bike or car, the map even has estimated travelling time from the Town Hall to the destinations!
Whether you’re a local or a visitor, make sure you grab a copy and discover all that Prospect has to offer (on an empty stomach of course). You can even read up on the history and quirks of some of the traders, while enjoying special offers revealed in the booklets.
