London designer Ashley Isham showcased a most glitzy and eye-catching collection at London Fashion Week SS19. Held at the Freemason’s Hall in conjunction with Fashion Scout, the flamboyant runway bore a trail of glittering gowns and lustrous embellishments most definitely fit for lovers of extra.
Combining sequins, patterns, textures and bold colours, every look delivered a serious wow-factor. We sensed a hint of 80’s inspiration, too.
Among our favourite picks were the men’s embroidered bomber jackets, featuring intricate textile work and royal hues of deep red, green and purple. One particular look even saw a male model dressed head-to-toe in a grey silk button-up onesie, complete with the most OTT embellished sliders and a luxurious purple embroidered jacket to top it off. LOVE.
Ashley Isham pulled off contrasting textures stylishly with this collection. Soft ostrich feathers combined with reptilian print fabric, while elegant embroidered dresses were complemented with shiny foil tassel detailing. There was a lot going on, keeping the audience on their toes for every coming look. It would have surely been a magpie’s heaven.
