Picture regal velvets and dreamy hues of blue; IKEA’s latest Stockholm 2017 collection is one that celebrates the beauty of doing things at the right pace.
Skilled hands and attentive eyes come together to produce 47 luxe pieces, utilising the likes of natural and tactile materials such as rattan, ash and hang-blown glass.
Designer Gunnel Sahlin has vast experience in the field of glass and ceramics and has created the bold blue glassware you see below, featuring as a highlight of the Stockholm 2017 collection.
”My intention is that they should be able to stay on the counter when they’re not being used, instead of being put away in the cupboard,” says Gunnel on the glassware, “they could live their own life, in between servings of food.”
Velvety cushions, pouffes and couches also serve as standouts in this collection, coming in three stunning shades: a bold orange-red, a royal navy and a gun-metal grey.
