How do you level up something that’s already as amazing as pasta? Make it customisable, of course, Pasta Remoli has just opened up a new location in Wembley Park and that’s exactly what they’re offering. It’s quick, it’s easy and most importantly it’s tasty, making it the perfect lunchtime hotspot or after dinner date.
How it works is you start by picking what kind of homemade (that’s right, all freshly made) pasta you want. Plain or filled are both on the menu, from tagliatelle to gnocchi, ham and parmesan or pumpkin and pesto. You can even choose whether you want to cook it yourself at home, perfect for when you’re about to hop on the tube and don’t want to worry about whether it’s going to stay hot throughout your journey. Dietary requirements can also be catered for here, with egg-free and gluten-free options available.
Next up is the sauce. They’re divided into two types; white-based and tomato-based sauce. You can go simple with butter and sage or tomato and basil, or make things a little fancy with pancetta and creamy mushroom or seafood sauce. Again, there are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, so they’re something for everyone. Finish it all off with your choice of five (!!!) different kinds of cheeses, and you’re ready to go.
If you’re wanting to make a proper Italian feast of it, there are also plenty of antipasti options on the menu. We’d recommend the burrata cheese and parma ham plate to share, as well as the buffalo mozzarella salad with mixed leaves and cherry tomatoes. There are also a couple of Simone Remoli’s Signature Dishes on the menu, from which we tried the oxtail agnolotti with oxtail sauce. Coming out in a generous serving, the filling was tender, pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was rich, making it a dish we’d seriously suggest you try. There are also a few traditional Roman Dishes for those who can’t look past a good cacio e pepe or carbonara.
As well as the new Wembley Park location, Pasta Remoli also has locations in Finsbury Park, Westfield Stratford and Ealing Broadway, which we’ve actually visited before. You can make a booking or order online through their website here.
