A facourite local courtier of ours, Jaimie Sortino, will be launching a new collection of handcrafted, Adelaide Hills inspired garments in the coming weeks.
The well-known courtier made a name for himself in 2010, winning the Adelaide Fashion Festival’s Emerging Designer Award. Continuing this success, Sortino has expanded his networking, influencing and dressing some of the biggest names on Australian television, including personalities from The Block, The Real Housewives of Melbourne, and songstress Delta Goodrem.
September will see Sortino launch a 10 piece collection heavily influenced by the sights and tones of our very own Adelaide Hills; ranging from rich, deep and dark blues, to wonderfully enticing dusty roses. The pieces gracefully epitomise dusk in the Hills, created with quality fabrics deported from France and Italy, sewn together by Jaimie himself.
“Every collection is very personal to me, it has a story and a unique feel, and this collection in particular, has a very special inspiration… Each piece has its own effortless drama, and it’s own allure, these gowns are custom made and no two are alike,” Sortino says.
The launch will be held in September at the Freemasons Building on North Terrace, and Sortino will be collaborating with local Adelaide creatives to design an appropriate space to showcase his divine collection.
