The Spanish sure know how to party, and with iconic Barcelona, Madrid and Marbella club Opium London Restaurant and Club recently opening in the West End, they’re bringing some of those European vibes to London. We’d been in for dinner and drinks before the official launch in May, so when we had the invite come through for the opening event we were super excited for a big night.
Walking into the venue we were greeted by bubbly girls wearing LED dresses and led into the restaurant and cocktail lounge. Contemporary floral wallpaper and gold mirrored ceilings decorate Opium London Restaurant and Club, creating a chic and sophisticated vibe. A giant spread of sushi was calling us over, as well as large boards of charcuterie dotted about. Charming waiters offered samples of the menu around to guests, including Spanish and Pan-Asian inspired canapes.
The evening started with prosecco and lychee cocktails and continued on with plenty of Belvedere Vodka. Accompanying the energetic music were fire performers and LED dancers, giving everyone plenty to document on Instagram throughout the night.
Though it hasn’t been opened long, Opium London Restaurant and Club has already hosted the likes of Nicki Minaj and Drake, ensuring it’s going to be a star-studded venue over the coming summer party season.
