Spence Club and Inkling Women present ‘Empower’

June the 19th will see the South Australian Spence Club teaming up with Inkling Women to bring us the aptly named Empower workshop.

The event will seek to inspire all Adelaide women to live their best lives in the workplace and beyond, and who better to host than the newly-appointed Inkling Women’s CEO, Sophie Hampel.

South Australian expat, Ms. Hampel has only recently moved to Sydney in the pursuit of Inkling’s core goal: bringing more women up to leadership levels, both at home and abroad.

Spence Club is another Adelaide-born initiative, founded in 2014 and named after iconic South Australian suffragette Catherine Helen Spence.

The organisation brings together high-achieving young women from all sectors and facilitates networking between the successful, like-minded ladies.

“Spence provides me with genuine connections with other women and recognises the fantastic talent we have in South Australia,” Spence Club Chair, Lucinda Hewitson said.

The workshop will also aim to raise some much-needed funds for Bramwell House: a vital crisis accommodation service for women and children escaping domestic violence.

The Empower event will be held from 5:30pm to 9pm at the Republic Hotel, 120 Magill Road, Norwood.
