After a roaring first year in 2016, Red Ball Adelaide will be hosting its second annual event to raise money for Fight Cancer Foundation.
Founded more than twenty years ago in Melbourne with ongoing support from none other than Hugh Jackman, the extravagant ball grew quickly to become one of Melbourne’s premier charity balls. It’s safe to say Red Ball is on its way to attaining similar status on the Adelaide social scene after last year’s impressive turnout!
As well as an excuse to wear a red ballgown, drink champagne and be fancy and fabulous for the night, Red Ball Adelaide brings together people to fight against cancer.
Fight Cancer Foundation’s Managing Director, Eric Wright is very excited for Adelaidians to join in the fight against cancer, while also enjoying an amazing night out.
‘Red Ball is an extraordinary event that brings together people who share a common goal – fighting against cancer,’ Mr Wright said.
‘Red Ball Adelaide is a wonderful evening of world class food and entertainment where guests know they are making a real difference to the lives of young children receiving cancer treatment.’
Each year Red Ball raises funds to fight cancer, with all of last year’s proceeds going towards Fight Cancer Foundation’s education program, ‘Back on Track’.
The program addresses the gap in educational support for kids and young people living with cancer, working in partnership with Department for Education and Child Development Hospital School at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and supported by TeamKids.
