If you haven’t used Uber yet, we highly recommend giving it a shot; simply drop a pin where you would like to be picked up from and a driver will collect you to take you to your chosen destination in minutes, with a cashless payment set-up just to add to the ease.
From their first office (which was a kitchen) to their brand new Adelaide HQ space at 176 Grote Street, Uber has certainly taken off in the City of Churches due to it’s ease and affordability.
UberX is the low-cost Uber, while Uber Black – the original Uber service – is the premium option. In July 2016, delivery service Uber EATS took ordering takeaway to a whole new level. And now, since launching in Adelaide, the service has over 250 local restaurant partners including some of our favourites like Honki Tonki and Bread and Bone. The service allows users to orders their favourite treats from restaurants which are then delivered straight to their door, the perfect solution to a restaurant quality dinner in your PJs.
The Uber team has grown from three to over 30 in the few short years since arriving in Adelaide. Additionally, Uber has acquired over 2,000 local parters in the Uber X, Uber Black and Uber EATS services.
The brand new Grote Street office will serve as a hub for these 30 employees and for all of the Adelaide-based driver partners. The drivers have the flexibility to work when they want to, while helping to provide the Adelaide community with safe and speedy transportation.
So what are you waiting for? Download the Uber and Uber Eats apps and join the already huge community of riders and keep Adelaide moving.
