Boutique Lights Up Botanic Gardens

Just incase you missed out on the Boutique 2016 show let me fill you in what went down.

Hundreds of guests frothed over fabulous fashion and The Real Housewives of Melbourne star and event emcee Gamble Breaux danced to the YMCA with Drag Queens. In three words or less … it – was – awesome.

A long outdoor runway stretched through Murdoch Avenue in the picturesque Adelaide Botanic Gardens with the lively green canopy serving as a stunning natural backdrop for the show.

The show featured designs from over twenty of South Australia’s top boutiques. Male and female models from Finesse Models Australia strutted their stuff to tracks by the likes of Cher, The Spice Girls and Britney Spears while wearing designs from Cubik Cloth, BNKR, Namoi Designs, Attitudes Boutique, Coltish Boutique, Liza Emanuele and Created Range among many others.

I picked out countless cute and chic summer ensembles along with a number of sexy and daring date night outfits.

Tempest Hair created an undone look for the model’s hair which complimented the natural, glowing skin and shimmery eyes by make up artist Lauren Parkinson.

Guests sipped on bubbles and nibbled on small eats from the Botanic Gardens Restaurant Adelaide as they mingled next to a collection of sleek Lexus cars.

The night raised funds for Touched By Olivia, a charity which is working towards building a playground for children with disabilities.

Ambassador and local celebrity Quentin Kenihan explained the importance of building the first inclusive playground for South Australia. Along with Quentin, runway DJ and event organiser Filip Odzak (Filip With An F) encouraged guests to “drink lots” as all profits from the wine bar would also be going towards the charity.
