Ahh, lockdown. We have all this unlimited time to spare to be creative, learn a new skill, get fit or cook up a storm. Yet, somehow we always find ourselves six pages deep in online shopping. Like, all the time. How do we always end up here?! However, if there is one silver lining in this mess, it’s that all our favourite brands have been whacking mega sales online to drum up business. The other day, we browsed online through the Camilla and Marc warehouse sale and picked out a few treats for ourselves.
Mel bought the Black Wade Top, which she thought would be a versatile addition to her wardrobe. Featuring a turtleneck-meets-cowl style of neckline, this long-sleeved top simply radiates classy-chic. It’s perfect for corporate wear, too. The shoulder pads make for a powerful silhouette. On top of that, the included belt cinches in the waist tightly, enhancing a feminine figure.
For this mini shoot, however, we opted for an alternative to businesswear. We styled the piece with some thigh-high split trousers by Ruby Watkins. These statement pants spun the vibe from corporate to sexy in an instant. This whole outfit gives us total fashion week vibes. And well, if these lockdowns hadn’t occurred, you probably would have seen us strutting through Sydney Fashion Week in this getup. Sigh.
Kristen also hopped onto the Camilla and Marc warehouse sale. She picked a super slinky slip dress which is both simple yet striking. It features a deep v-neckline, spaghetti straps, and a relaxed fit, complete with an elegant wrapped front. Showing off just the right amount of skin, we think it effortlessly balances seduction with class. This also means it makes for gorgeous evening attire. Date night or drinks, this dress will see you through those boujee nights.
