After the year we’ve had, we all deserve to let loose a little and celebrate the start of a new one on New Year’s Eve. Pictures and videos of the iconic Sydney Harbour fireworks circulate all over the world, so we’re super excited to head down to the Botanic Gardens this year and experience them for the first time ourselves.
This year the Botanic Gardens are hosting a fun New Year’s Eve event with live music, entertainment, drinks, food and more, giving you front row seats to the spectacular harbour fireworks. There are a range of different packages available, from The Point to Harbour View Silver.
The Point offers a premium experience with seating and a dance floor, as well as the best view of the fireworks. Each ticket includes a gourmet nibbles hamper on arrival packed with treats like olives, cheese and salami, and complimentary access to a number of gourmet dining stations offering gnocchi, dumplings, paella and desserts.
If you’re just keen to see the fireworks and bring your own picnic food, the Harbour View Silver ticket is for you. Included is entry to the event and the Mrs Macquarie’s Chair area, with access to food trucks and bars. This area will open from 1pm for people to come and enjoy the sunshine and nab their perfect spot on the lawn.
As this event is held at the beautiful Botanic Gardens, it’s no surprise all packaging of food and drinks sold from the vendors will be biodegradable or recyclable. Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the Domain and the Botanic Gardens, including the botanical research conducted there.
