Since being introduced to Tarte Cosmetics by a Melbourne friend of ours (and talented make-up artist) Bek Capagne, our makeup cases have slowly been filling up with more and more Tarte products.
They’re an ethical company that utilise loads of natural ingredients in their products like Amazonian clay, so they’re much more gentle on your skin and the products are of a really high quality.
The pigmentation in their eyeshadows and contour products is crazy, but they manage to keep the products really soft and blendable, making them easy to use even for the most amateur of makeup gurus.
To celebrate the release of two new Tarte products we can’t stop using, the ‘Tarteist Pro Eyeshadow Palette’ and the ‘Tarteist Pro Contour Palette’, we decided to put together a list of the top 3 Tarte products we simply couldn’t live without.

1. Tarteist Pro Contour Palette
I honestly never thought I would give up my Model Co. ‘On Tour’ contour palette and Becca ‘Opal’ highlight, but since we were sent the Tarteist Pro Contour Palette I honestly haven’t touched either of them since. The palette comes with two matte bronzing shades, one cream and one powder, and four highlighters in various shades. The first time I used this I ended up with heavy brown lines on my face because I didn’t expect the colour payoff to be so high, but now I use the tiniest bit to perfectly contour my face like a Kardashian.
2. 12 Hour Amazonian Clay Foundation
I wear a lot of makeup every day, so I need a foundation that’s high in coverage but doesn’t make my skin go gross. Tarte’s foundation is made with loads of natural ingrediants, the main one being Amazonian Clay that doesn’t damage your skin or clog pores. I have really dry skin, so I usually add a drop of Tarte’s ‘Maracuja Oil’ into my foundation to keep my skin fresh and give me a dewy, glowing finish.
3. Tarteist Lip Paint in TBT
This was one of the first Tarte products I ever tried, and though I have loads of other Lip Paints in varying shades of nude I always find myself going back to this one. Lip Paint is Tarte’s answer to the crazy-popular liquid-to-matte lipstick trend, and they’ve developed a formula using pure pigment in oil that doesn’t dry your lips out and leave them feeling cakey and cracked. ‘TBT’ is the perfect shade for my skin tone, as it’s quite warm and has loads of pink undertones running through the brown shade.

1. Tartelette in Bloom
This eyeshadow palettes is one of my most loved and used, which is made obvious by the huge dent you can see I’ve made in my favourite colours. Harnessing warm tones of brown and pink, the ‘Tartelette in Bloom’ is perfect for creating a bold smokey eye or a more natural, everyday look. With a balance of shimmers and mattes, the versatility of this palette makes it my go-to every time.
2. Tarte 12 hr Perfecting Primer
This clear primer is also a go-to product of mine – I will never start a face of makeup without it! The texture is smooth and velvety upon application and makes applying foundation an absolute dream as it evens out the skin immaculately. As someone who has quite prominent pores, this product has pretty much been a lifesaver.
3. Tarte Lippie Lingerie in Undressed
When we received the full brown lip collection released by Tarte, I think all of our lipstick dreams came true. There was not one, single colour in that collection that did not suit my complexion and with the Kardashians and Jenners making brown lips the hottest beauty trend as of late, it’s safe to say I won’t be using anything but Tarte lips for a while. The ‘Lippie Lingerie’ collection is a favourite of mine as it applies like a lip crayon and is long-lasting, yet moisturises the lips so they don’t get too dry or cracked. The Lip Paints admittedly last longer, but they also dry out your lips quicker than the Lippie Lingerie collection. Undressed is my favourite because it is bold enough to make a statement, yet subtle enough to be worn during the day and for work, too.
You can find Tarte products online and at Sephora in Australia.
