Photo Diary: Out for a crepe date with I Saw It First

Has anyone ever said no to a date with crepes? We highly doubt it, so when we were invited in by Chelsea Creperie to indulge in some of that sweet, pancake-y goodness, we naturally had to get dressed up for a little photo diary shoot.

And our threads of choice, you ask? I Saw It First. Recently, we started working with I Saw It First to create some fun Instagram content wearing their clothes and we’ve been loving all the pieces we chose.

Mel’s Mustard Turn Up Cuff Jumper is really quite warm and drapes elegantly over a turtleneck and jeans, or by itself with a mini skirt. The knit fabric feels quite thick and strong, which can be hard to gauge when buying pieces online and makes it great value for money. Aside from the decent quality for its affordable price, the design itself is very flattering. We love the subtle bell sleeve detail and slimming high neck fit.

She picked this to style alongside a classic red tartan mini skirt (which we think may have sold out seeing as we can’t find it online anymore). We’re seeing checked skirts everywhere on Instagram right now and we’re not mad about it; it’s the ultimate winter skirt and is a very slimming style that looks good on just about every figure. This one features a comfortable elasticated waistband but a short fit, so Mel went up a size to accommodate for her booty.

Kristen went for a fun, pink turtleneck that’s also not available anymore, but you can find a similar one here. She paired them with some flared, wide leg trousers with a big belt to create a cosy and flattering look. While this outfit is quite warm on its own, the high neck, sleeves and bottoms mean you can sneak some thermal layers on underneath for chilly evenings spent outside (Winter Wonderland, we’re looking at you). The trousers are also really versatile, and Kristen plans on wearing them with everything from sheer tops on nights out to shirts at work.

As for the food, we tucked into two savouries and a sweet, alongside four pretty rainbow lattes for added sparkle. ✨? We totally died when we saw Chelsea Creperie offered a raclette crepe, which we thought was a unique choice of crepe (that, and we’ve been obsessing over raclette lately, especially coming into the colder months). Complete with raclette cheese, potato, onions, gherkin and ham wrapped in a velvety crepe exterior, this dish was ultra satisfying and particularly filling. Kristen got her hands on the caprese crepe, which was something like a pizza-meets-crepe type of scenario. It came with mozzarella, tomatoes, black olive, Parma ham, olive oil and rocket salad.
