Grenfell street’s Propaganda relaunched earlier this week with a bang. Formally known as Propaganda Club, the rebranding has ushered in a transformation, opening its doors for more hours and targeting a wider audience.
The former ‘supper club’ now has a new vision making it more accessible to city workers looking for a place for business meetings, after work drinks or even just relaxed dining.
With a new menu curated by Head Chef Jon Kimber, Propaganda’s food offerings now include modern Australian dishes with an Asian twist, with options such as wagyu beef and kimchi sliders and softshell crab tacos.
“Our food philosophy is all about experience – creating simple, flavoursome dishes designed for sharing, and perfectly paired with our premium selection of craft beers, local wines and creative cocktails,” says Chef Jon.
Propaganda’s two signature cocktails include the soft and fruity ‘Dear Daisy, I Hate You’, made with white rum, soursop and sweet alyssum, and the ‘Harper’s History’, made with gold rum, sweet vermouth, apple and blackcurrant.
Propaganda’s Chief Mixologist Chris prepared each of the drinks for us at their grand opening launch party, even explaining the backstory of ‘Dear Daisy, I Hate You’.
“It’s about how you can be quite sour of certain people until you meet someone sweet in your life and then you become harmonious. So that’s what this cocktail represents.”
With live DJs every Friday and Saturday night, Propaganda will also be offering a $20 lunch special and knock-off drink specials between 4pm and 7pm in celebration of their grand opening.
Propaganda is located at 110 Grenfell Street and is open Mondays and Tuesdays 7am til 7pm, Wednesdays to Fridays 7am til 11am, 12pm til 3pm, 6pm til 9pm, and Saturday 4pm til late.
