Indulge in a day of fashion by the seaside with the City of Holdfast Bay partnering with the 2016 Adelaide Fashion Festival to host a diverse range of fashion events in Glenelg on Saturday the 22nd of October.
The festivities start from midday in the Bay Discovery Centre with the official opening of the Violet Rowe: A Life of Fashion. Take a step back in time with the vintage fashion exhibition, which will showcase an extraordinary collection of unique accessories and a range of rare garments dating from the 1870s to the 1970s.
Discover the latest collection of local designer, Pari, renowned for a unique blend of eclectic and bohemian designs. The spring/summer collection comprised of an assortment of designer dresses, beautiful jewellery, accessories and cultural pieces will be paraded down the Marina Pier at 2:30pm.
The day will conclude with edgy emerging designer, Lex the Label, noted for her urban style and sophisticated yet simplistic designs. Her latest collection will be will be celebrated through an amazing combination of creative and performing arts, as well as skate demonstrations on the Street and Skate Runway in the midst of the Daily Grind Skate Co. Glenelg’s GAME of S.K.A.T.E. event. Catch the latest Lex the Label designs for free at 6pm in Moseley Square.
