Ziinkle encourages singles to meet and match in real life in real-time, helping people to get off the app and into the real world sooner. It does this by showing you where other singles are out and about socially, so you can decide where to go based on the types of people you’d like to meet. Ziinkle believes the best connections are made in real life, spotting someone across the room and getting that ‘instant vibe’, which is why they want to help more people match and meet when they’re out and about.
Founded by women, Ziinkle have taken measures to ensure the platform is as safe to use as it is fun. Each profile is fully verified by their team during the application process, which means you’re much less likely to be catfished. There are also different modes of visibility when you’re out, so you don’t always have to be 100% visible to everyone. And of course, when you’re at home, you’re not visible to anyone.
We recently went along to the launch of Ziinkle at Salty’s in Bondi and tested the app out for ourselves. It was pretty cool being able to see other singles out in the area, and that you can update your status with fun prompts like ‘first drink on me’, ‘find me at the bar’ and ‘leaving shortly’.
