There is nothing more exciting than discovering fresh talent, right? Saint Bede is a dynamic duo consisting of Sam Flinn from good ol’ Adelaide and Ben Casey all the way from Yorkshire, England. These lads create, compose and produce fresh tracks in-between different time zones, which is pretty crazy and requires a lot of passion.
Having only formed in January this year, these two creative minds both attended St Bede’s Grammar School in West Yorkshire until Sam made the big move over to Adelaide back in ’09. Reconnecting over a few festive froths last Christmas, these two pals decided to mash Ben’s composing and instrumental genius together with Sam’s sampling and production.
Saint Bede’s sound is a variety of alternative hip-hop and funky flavoured beats and lyrics, channelling their influences from the likes of Anderson Paak, J Dilla and Tom Misch. Their creative and unique track list sets a laid-back mood and all round good vibes.
Their combination of funky percussion beats, soothing guitar solos and catchy melody lines and keys creates an incredibly easy listening sound, and will get your foot tapping for sure!
