Fashion Concept Collective Store

Last Friday night marked the grand opening of Fashion Concept Collective: an exciting runway to retail project launched by the faces behind Adelaide’s Fashion Concept runway shows, Lily Lou and Hue Le.

Having previously run two successful shows in Feburary and August of this year, Directer Hue and Creative Producer Lily decided to bring the runway looks to retail, giving Adelaidians the chance to purchase unique and solely locally designed garments in store.

Garments from Yvonne Faye

A first of its kind, the Fashion Concept Collective store stocks a limited range of funky pieces from up and coming local clothing labels such as Yvonne FayeRevoque, Willow and Grace, Ashlee Graham, foolsandtrolls and accessories from the likes of Parque and Of Dreamers and Dancers.

With the support of Renew Adelaide and Adelaide Central Plaza, Fashion Concept Collective stands as a temporary retail outlet on Level 1 of Adelaide Central Plaza (the David Jones building), in a fantastic white-painted space with a sense of geometric interior design and large windows facing out towards Rundle Mall.

Most of the amazing Fashion Concept Collective labels are not actually available to purchase in other physical store other than online, so get in quick to get your chance to try on and purchase an original design from any of these fantastic Adelaidian designers!

Attending the exclusive opening, VIP guests were pampered with refreshments provided by Scott & La Prova Wines and Vale Brewing, and each received a gift bag full of treats and offers. Getting the chance to personally speak with Hue and Lily at the launch gave us a bit of an insight into just how hard the girls have worked and continue to work to achieve their fashion visions.

“We may have this space only temporary, but we are definitely looking forward to continuing the Fashion Concept Collective store for the future,” says Lily.

“It’s all about getting together and showcasing the best of what Adelaide’s fashion industry has to offer!”
