Fresh Fashion Fridays at the Hotel Richmond saw the June event provide an impressive evening. The monthly fashion show showcased three designers this time around; Revoque, Fools and Trolls, and Atlas the Label.
Revoque’s designs were beautifully tailored, chic and full of originality. The dresses and jumpsuits were in beautiful shades of lilac and a grey/green which flaunted sophistication.
Fools and Trolls demonstrated laidback, original mens and womens wear, in the form of clean-cut tees for the men, and oversized tees worn as dresses for the women. The models swaggered down the red carpet in Vans, Converse and Adidas sneakers, sporting funky socks to tie in with the quirky graphics on the tees. The logos and graphics on the tees, designed by visual arts graduate Dave Court, were fun, quirky and creative, and provided a point of difference for the up and coming designer.
The pieces from Atlas the Label were beautiful sheer and floaty garments made from satin fabrics in modern and edgy styles. The main colour palette was black, with a hint of white and of course a splash of the gorgeous emerald green in the statement culottes.
The models hair was styled by Hung Tran from ‘Blow It’s a Hair Thing’, featuring a neat, slick, man-bun style, and the makeup was kept simple except for the bold bright blue eye shadow on the girls, courtesy of Inglot.
The Hotel Richmond’s new Winter Cocktail menu appeared to be a hit, and the cheese platter and dips plate from the Hotel Richmond’s bar menu went down a treat.
The cosy, eloquently furnished and decorated space is perfect for hosting an event such as this, with the live band ensuring the crowd remained entertained between shows.
The next Fresh Fashion Friday is occurring on July 10th, starting at 7pm. Be sure to check it out!
