Last week’s AZALEA Models Rural Model Search saw 17-year-old Chelsea Burke take out the title. The beautiful, sunny weather brought 250 people to the Seppeltsfield Estate Winery for the competition hosted by Adelaide Fashion Festival. Judges on the day included AZALEA Models’ agency owner, Stacey Hendrickson, and Adelaide Fashion Festival organisers, Robyn Ingerson and Chris Kontos.
“We were looking for a girl who was ready to take on the challenge of being a face of a runway event, so she needed to ooze confidence which Chelsea did,” Stacey Hendrickson says.
Along with a one-year contract with AZALEA Models, the 17-year-old was also showered with $1000 worth of prizes. As the winner, Chelsea is also set to become the face of the Adelaide Fashion Festival’s Rural Runway Show coming up on Saturday 14th October. The runway show will feature local boutiques and will also be held at Seppeltsfield Estate Winery. Guests will also be treated to a fresh-produce degustation lunch paired with Seppeltsfield’s finest wines. Make sure to get in quick for your tickets here!
Runners up of the day were Flaxman Valley’s Stella Holt and Tanunda’s Jemma Linke and Meg Couzner. While these girls missed out on the title, Stacey says AZALEA Models is hoping to sign some more new faces from the day.
