Teo X JTP // Let Them Eat Cupcakes Launch

Last Tuesday, Adelaide’s favourite quirky magazine, Teo Magazine, paired up with Just Tickled Pink on Unley Road to host a launch for their space-aged fifth issue release.

Needless to say, the launch was downright delectable. Upon arrival, gorgeous host and Miss South Australia 2014, Malissa Fedele, warmly welcomed VIP guests offering a complimentary glass of champagne. The first room guests entered was covered in cute, girly things, very suitable to the given name ‘Just Tickled Pink’. The pink walls encompassed cute ornaments such as little, silver birds or pretty paintings of cupcakes. A long, majestic table filled up the space and upon it were several cupcake stands covered in tasty treats.

Not having experienced the magic of Just Tickled Pink before the launch, the cupcakes were definitely a sweet surprise. From the revamped JTP dessert menu, cupcakes of blueberry, chocolate and vanilla flavours were out for guests to try. The rich, cream-cheese icing really topped the cupcakes off (pun intended). Entering the second room, the atmosphere was much the same, full of aesthetically appealing girly decor and a long dining table. We particularly appreciated the Audrey Hepburn dedication wall, covered in pictures of the classy Hollywood icon. What a spectacular little venue!

Glasses of an Adelaide Hills red wine and sweet moscato were on offer in the second room, as were more cupcakes, macaroons, chocolate mousses and egg/tuna sandwiches. Waitresses came around serving up fresh, hot tea for the guests, also serving the selected set of wines before guests were seated for a short speech by the launch host.

The beautiful AZALEA models who starred in Teo’s fifth issue also made an appearance at the launch, wearing gorgeous Casper&Pearl matching sets.

After mixing and mingling with the likes of favourite emerging local designers such as Stacey Hendrickson of Casper&Pearl and Simmone Standing of Simmone Standing the Label, as well as chatting with the lovely Teo Magazine founder and editor Susannah Ionnaou, we left the launch excited for the magazine release and also extremely full of delicious cupcakes which we will surely be coming back for. On our way out, we were provided with some take-home cupcakes and a super cute, pink goodie bag filled with hand creams, body scrubs, a candle and some boutique vouchers! Definitely a favourite gift bag of ours so far.

What a great night for The Adelaidian, now time to dig into those take-home cupcakes!
