Fancy a pub meal, with a twist? The Gully Public House & Garden can provide you with just that and more with the recent launch of their new Winter menu.
The delicious new menu features a vast variety of dishes with combinations you won’t often find at many pubs – and you won’t be burning your dollar bills here either.
It’s safe to say that The Gully offers just about everything, from your basic Fish and Chips to your Caramelised Onion and Goats Cheese Pizzeta and even a gigantic Prawn Bucket complemented with Creamy Lime Aioli. There’s no reason why guests can’t be satisfied by the range of dishes including meat and vegie-orientated selections from the Harvest menu which features the Stuffed Eggplant Moussaka and Chicken Ballotine and Eggplant Chips.
Tandoori Chicken Wings, Garlic and Rosemary Pizzeta, Vietnamese Pork Rolls and Oysters will have you drooling all over the entree menu. You can also be greeted with starters such as the Braised Pork with Potato, Rocket and Pear or the Chicken, Beef or Pork Sliders.
Panko Crumbed Chicken Breast Schnitzel, Dukkah Crusted Barramundi Fillet and the Spice Blend Chicken 65 Burger make for an extremely filling and generous-sized meal where you’re sure to get your value for money.
Unsurprisingly, the dessert dishes were the dreamy kind of comfort food we imagine you need on a cold winter’s night with an old-style take on the Sticky Date Pudding accompanied with Rum and Raisin Ice Cream, the Dessert Pizza with Nutella and other tasty treasures and the Apple and Blueberry Crumble with Ice Cream and Strawberry Compote.
The recently refurbished precinct comes complete with their historic front bar, beer garden, dining area and several booths and tables spread throughout the two-story structure. The pub also never falls short of facilities to cater for your private or corporate events.
As for the location, it lays a little far from the CBD which makes for a delightful change when you want to escape from the city to wine or dine in a slower-paced, relaxed environment which also plays host to many acoustic performances on Friday nights.
The Gully is more than just a pub, being lucky enough to provide several spaces suitable for a family, group of friends – male or female – or a romantic evening for two.
If you’re yet to check out the historic pub, get cracking because there is so much to see (and so much to eat). Filling and hearty are definitely the feelings you’ll be left with once leaving the venue, proving that The Gully really hits the nail on the whole winter food thing.
Don’t forget to order a hot chocolate for a nice winter warmer at the end of your meal, or, if you’re more daring, The Gully’s famous Hot-tails which can contain a strong concoction of Solerno, Cafe Patrón Tequila, Kahlúa and Frangelico, finished with a dash of steaming, hot water of course.
